Whether we are in a classroom or in an elevator speaking very little or a lot, much can be said through our non-verbal communication —it is part of our everyday interactions that can enhance or weaken the messages we are trying to convey.  Speaking Without Words is a booklet that presents the forms and roles of non-verbal communication in an approachable manner without diverting from the importance of the subject. The booklet’s objective is to create awareness of non-verbal communication through activities and improve with techniques.

The Latinas and Revolution course examined how war and struggles for democracy shape the social consciousness and political activism of Latinas.

This poster is an introduction to political activist Comandanta Ramona. She was a guerilla, indigenous rights activist, and women’s rights advocate. The work consists of a brief biography and a timeline that highlights important events in which she participated. The information is layered with imagery that reflects her heritage. Printed on Newsprint to make it easier to share and keep production affordable.

Reminder cards designed for the Associated Students, Inc. at California State University, Long Beach. These cards were given at a leadership retreat held for a diverse group of student leaders as a tool to reference when they are feeling stuck when making decisions.

The illustrations and their assigned message are each on individual cards to highlight the possibilities and allow users to experience each outcome by sliding through them instead of having them listed out.
