Courage California Illustrations

Role: Illustrator, Graphic Designer
Courage California, a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization, needed visual content to educate voters and encourage civic engagement around California legislation.

During the 2020 elections Courage California hosted a series of webinars and live video streams to inform their audience on election issues. We worked together to create a branded series of graphics inspired by the colors of the California state flag.

My goal was to create illustrations and social media graphics that made complex policy topics more approachable while reflecting the diversity of the communities affected by these issues.

The initial creative direction relied on Courage California’s branding. As the scope expanded to include more bills I adapted the visuals to incorporate a wider color palette resulting in a more dynamic series.
